We previously reported that the iPad didn’t appear to have the stock apps, Stocks, Calculator, Weather, Clock, Voice Memo. Apple is now speaking up saying that they have “scrapped” these apps because they didn’t feel right on the iPad.
Some people have been wondering what the deal is with the mystery key just above the “6″ on the official iPad accessory keyboard. The iPad doesn’t use function keys like the Mac/PC so there isn’t a backup ‘function’ like on keyboards we’re used to. The easiest/simplest/most likely idea is that it is just there for aesthetic reasons.
When you were looking at the iPad software did you wonder where did the Weather, Stocks, Clock, and Calculator stock apps go that were on the iPhone and iPod Touch. We are thinking that the iPad is going to have a type of Dashboard like Mac OSX.
