Earlier this week, Apple released iBooks 1.1.1, an important update, including many new features. These mostly included more media abilities such as viewing videos and photos embedded into books. Today, Apple released a 1.1.2 update which eliminates a bug some users faced when installing the latest update.

At today’s WWDC 2010 event Steve Jobs announced that iBooks will be coming to the iPhone latter this month. Additionally the app will receive some pretty big updates. The update will include the ability to view PDF documents within the app. Additionally, the app will get an updated bookmarking control and users will be able to add notes to books and documents.
