Steve Jobs on Lack of Custom Wallpapers in iOS 4 for iPhone 3G

As has been widely discussed, while the iPhone 3G and second-generation iPod touch are compatible with Apple’s iOS 4 released yesterday, they do not support all of the features of the updating operating system. Multitasking has been the highest-profile feature unsupported by these older devices, but Apple has also noted three other unsupported features: Bluetooth keyboard support, home screen wallpapers, and data protection.

iOS 4 Golden Master and iTunes 9.2 Seeded to Developers

Apple started seeding the iOS 4 Golden Master (final version) and iTune 9.2 to developers, immediately after the WWDC 2010 keynote event. The releases are available to registered iPhone developers. iOS 4 is coming on June 21st, presumably along with iTunes 9.2.

Apple Posts iPhone 4 Feature Video

Apple has now posted its feature video for the iPhone 4, entitled “This changes everything. Again.” This is the video that was shown at the conclusion of Steve Jobs’ WWDC 2010 keynote presentation yesterday.

Apple Announces iMovie for iPhone 4

Along with the announcement of the new iPhone 4 at today’s WWDC 2010 keynote event, Steve Jobs announced iMovie for iPhone 4. The new app will allow users to edit videos right on the new iPhone 4, which records 720p HD video at 30fps.

Apple Announces FaceTime for iPhone 4 Video Calls

The iPhone 4 was officially announced at today’s WWDC 2010 keynote event and Steve Jobs reserved the “one more thing” announcement at the end of the event to talk more about its video calling capabilities.

iPhone OS 4 Now Called iOS 4, Available June 21 for Free

At today’s WWDC 2010 keynote event, Steve Jobs reviewed the upcoming iPhone OS, now known as iOS 4. Previously announced at a special event in April, the OS update will include multi-tasking, a unified inbox, folders, and other features. Newly-announced today is the inclusion of Bing as an additional search engine option as well as the iBooks app, which is currently only available for the iPad.
