The iPhone Dev team has released the latest version of their Ultasn0w software which allows you to unlock your jailbroken iPhone 4 on iOS 4 and 4.01. This same software also unlocks the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS on all basebands.
It’s finally here! You can now jailbreak the iPhone 4 and al other devices, including the iPad on iOS 4. You can now jailbreak your device by going to jailbreakme.com in Safari on your iOS 4 device. This is a huge step forward, from previously needing to jailbreak using a computer.
planetbeing has posted a YouTube video demonstrating the iPhone 4 unlock that was announced earlier today. He mentions in the video that the unlock is not yet finished and needs to be cleaned up before launched to the public. The video explains that the iPhone Dev Team has found several ways to counterattack Apple’s attempts against unlocking.
This morning iPhone Dev Team member @planetbeing showed off a software unlocked iPhone 4. Of course to software unlock the iPhone 4 had to also be jailbroken, planetbeing latter posted a photo of the unlocked iPhone 4 with Cydia open. Comex has said to have created a new jailbreak software that can jailbreak all devices.
iOS 4 has been jailbroken and unlocked just hours after it’s public release. The iPhone Dev Team has released a beta version of redsn0w which can jailbreak the iPod Touch 2nd generation, iPhone 3G, and the iPhone 3GS. The beta can also unlock the iPhone 3G with iOS 4.
The Gold Master of iOS 4 that was just released yesterday after Steve Jobs WWDC keynote has already been jailbroken by msft.guy. He jailbroke the new firmware by using some hackery along with the Dev Teams’s existing Pwnagetool.
