
planetbeing has posted a YouTube video demonstrating the iPhone 4 unlock that was announced earlier today. He mentions in the video that the unlock is not yet finished and needs to be cleaned up before launched to the public. The video explains that the iPhone Dev Team has found several ways to counterattack Apple’s attempts against unlocking.

Today UtraSn0w was updated by the iPhone Dev-Team. This update still doesn’t unlock the latest baseband that comes with 3.1.2 firmware. The updaet rather fixes a problem where the carrier logo would not show with the 3.1.2 firmware and the 04.26 baseband. Apple previously updated the iPhone 3G/3GS baseband in the 3.1 firmware in order to prevent unlocking. For those who upgraded using the Pwnage Tool this didn’t matter since the Pwnage Tool didn’t updated the baseband.
