
Users looking to update their App Store applications for today’s iOS 4 release have been greeted with a screen informing them of changes to the iTunes Store and conditions. Users with the 3.x firmware are also greeted with this message when trying to install a new app. While users are required to accept the changes before continuing, the summary of changes simply indicates that the company has made “material” changes to its privacy agreement.

The first applications supporting Apple’s forthcoming iAd mobile advertising platform are beginning to go live in the App Store, despite the fact that the service doesn’t officially launch until July 1st. Consequently, the apps simply display either an empty banner or test messages indicating proper integration with the service.

Steve Jobs hates the way that current mobile advertising works. The big reason is because it interrupts the amazing user experience of iPhone OS. Today, at the Apple firmware 4.0 media event, Apple announced a solution to poor advertising solutions for the iPhone. Apple’s solution is iAd; Apple’s own mobile advertising platform.
