
The iPhone Dev Team has recently released a beta version of the latest RedSn0w program. RedSn0w is a popular program for Mac and Windows to jailbreak and unlock iPhone and iPod Touch. The latest version will allow this and more customization for firmware 3.0/3.1.2. The software works with all devices with an exception of the latest iPod Touch generation, this will become available in the final release.

Since Facebook 3.1 was launched there were numerous complaints about the app not working well. Facebook immediately addressed some issues by letting out version 3.1.1 of their app in less tan 24 hours of the initial launch of 3.1. But with 3.1.1 many issues still were not corrected so yesterday the 3.1.2 updated of the Facebook app became available for download.

Today UtraSn0w was updated by the iPhone Dev-Team. This update still doesn’t unlock the latest baseband that comes with 3.1.2 firmware. The updaet rather fixes a problem where the carrier logo would not show with the 3.1.2 firmware and the 04.26 baseband. Apple previously updated the iPhone 3G/3GS baseband in the 3.1 firmware in order to prevent unlocking. For those who upgraded using the Pwnage Tool this didn’t matter since the Pwnage Tool didn’t updated the baseband.
