Installous, the most popular app piracy app has launched a rather interesting update. The update includes an App Store link above the list of mirrors to pirate a particular application. Their goal of the website apptrackr and the app Intallous has always been to allow users to try paid apps before they purchased them.
Apple changes their featured section on the App Store quite frequently, but today a new section appeared. The new section is called “Try Before You Buy”, which features lite versions of paid apps. The goal of the program is to encourage users to try a free version of paid apps instead of trying a cracked version of a paid app.
A few days ago Kyek (The owner of Apulo.us) announced that the site would be closed for good as an iPhone related website. He plans on moving the site forward to other plans. Surprisingly he wasn’t willing to direct people to new new Appulo.us which is Apptrackr.org but rather just tells people to “Google Appulo.us alternatives”.
